A judgment in favor for my client, a Suffolk County Motorcycle Rider, was awarded for damages in the sum of $3,000,000.00 in 2018.
My client suffered catastrophic injuries from an accident that occurred in Suffolk County NY. He was struck while riding his motorcycle, by a vehicle driven by an uninsured female who drove through a red light.
My client was hospitalized for over 3 months, was wheel chair bound for over 2 years, had multiple fractures to his tibia/fibula, a fractured skull, a fractured jaw and nose. He had to go through agonizing surgeries and skin grafts, and had an external fixator attached to his right leg in an attempt to lengthen the bone in his leg. He was out of work for over 2 years. The loss of income and financial burdens only added to his pain and suffering.
My client’s quality of life and his family’s life will never be the same. The permanent physical scarring, as well as the emotional scarring he and his family had to endure is heartbreaking. I’ve seen first-hand what they have gone through, and will continue to go through. Through it all, I’ve also never seen so much strength and support from his wife, his family, his friends and himself. He persevered day after day in constant pain just to make “moving an inch” happen. He is the strongest man I know.
